I needed that.
Two solid hours of sipping bold coffee, choosing tea party recipes and reading blogs. (I *heart* free wi-fi.) And eating an “artisan sandwich.” Not sure what’s artisan about it but the ham, cheese and egg satisfied my tumtum in a big way. It was basically my second breakfast of the day, so lunch was very light. 🙂
Dear me. Did I forget to mention the mini vanilla bean scone?
Chalk it up to Aunt Flo. This happens every month.
Anyway…. it was truly blissful. God bless preschool.
We just came in from the nicest walk around the ‘hood! It is a PICTURE-PERFECT day – sunny, 68 degrees, a mild breeze. We milked it, baby. Lissy and me…. and camera makes three.
Dis be my little rock climber. There is no playground in our subdivision so we work with what we have.
So tomorrow marks the beginning of a brand new Walk Live class! I’m offering a class to the faculty of a large local high school and reeeeeeeally pray that this class takes off like a rocket. If all goes well, we’ll get our walk on every Thursday right after school (3:20 pm).
I haven’t talked about it much on the blog because I haven’t been actively teaching classes lately. I’m certified to teach classes that are based on Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home program. Many are familiar with Leslie’s workouts, some are not. I’ve been doing her workouts in my living room for nine years and cannot say enough about them. In my humble opinion, they are the perfect workout. Why? Because the moves are so easy to follow, they work all major muscle groups, they include lateral movement as well as front and back movement, and they WORK. If it weren’t for dear, sweet Leslie (whom I had the pleasure of meeting last fall in New Castle, Pennsylvania) I would not be where I am today on my health and fitness journey.
(That’s me in the blue.)
You can click here for more info on what the workouts look like and the group fitness classes I teach. (Please excuse the outdated “Class Info” page that I desperately need to update!)
I am extremely passionate about helping people understand how VITALLY IMPORTANT it is to take care of their bodies. (Ask any of my friends – they’ll tell you how I feel about excuses and lack of commitment. ZERO TOLERANCE.)
Therefore, I am excited about this new class and hope, hope, HOPE that many of the high school faculty will take advantage of it and get MOVIN’ with me!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading!
***** QUESTION FOR YOU: What’s your favorite outdoor activity?
I like hiking! Tho I prefer a mountain setting… our honeymoon was lovely because of the areas we got to walk thru! Have I ever showed you pics from out honeymoon?
LOVE the butterfly pic…sweet!!
Yep, and I remember they were very beautiful!
Sent from my iPad
PS: how do I add a pic by my name?
As far as I know, you have to have a WordPress account/blog to have a pic. I could be wrong tho?

Wendy your pics (and your daughter!!!) are beautiful. What a lovely day!
Oh and that scone looks great too 🙂
Good for you for starting that Walk class, I wish you all the luck in the world! I *love* that you have been in a workout dvd. I am so jealous!
The artisan sandwich looks good, I love cheese and I like ham.
Liss is so cute, you should put her into modeling!!
LOL love the picture of your cat, they love to be inside or on top of things.
You are a LOT thinner than in the picture of you in the exercise video, you should use as before and after pictures to promote your exercise classes!
Really? No playground? We’re half a block from one, a 10 minute walk from another, bigger one, and a 5 minute drive from 2 more. That seems so sad to me, since I know how my kids love to scramble around on the play structures.
Glad you enjoyed your day! Looks like it was a great one. 🙂
Sending good thoughts your way regarding the class! 🙂
I really like the pic of the field of flowers…and the one of your daughter skipping!
I love to do anything and everything outdoors – from hiking and running to triathlons, open water swimming. Everything is better outdoors.
